What is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy?
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a profound treatment for healing that goes beyond the conscious mind, into deeper states of consciousness. It can rewire the neural networks in the brain, allowing for real change, replacing maladaptive coping strategies with healthier functioning, deeper self discovery with potential for personal and existential growth.
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy for couples is a wonderful tool to build deeper connections between partners by softening protective defenses and increasing vulnerability.

how ketamine-assisted therapy (KAP) can help you heal
-
Healing at the Roots
KAP is a profound healing modality that goes beyond the conscious mind. By allowing us access to deeper states of consciousness— where trauma often resides — it enables us to heal the wound at its source.
-
Cognitive Re-wiring
Studies have shown that KAP helps rewire the neural networks in our brain, allowing for real change by replacing maladaptive coping strategies with healthier functioning.
-
Emotional Safety for Deeper Connection
By softening our defenses, KAP allows for greater access to vulnerability, creating greater connection and emotional safety with ourselves and those we love.
-
Change that Lasts
With KAP, we are able to deepen our awareness of our inner world, resulting in profound self discovery, personal growth, and deep healing.
Hi, I’m Elizabeth.
I have a holistic view of wellness, incorporating mind, body and soul.
I was drawn to psychedelic assisted therapy so that I could provide additional support when the process feels stuck. We all have our protections that we have developed for really good reasons. However, sometimes, even when we want to go deeper, we get blocked or just feel stuck by these entrenched defenses. Psychedelics can be a wonderful tool to support in this deepening, and give the movement that is necessary for greater healing.
I am currently enrolled in the Integrative Psychiatry Institute (IPI) with expected graduation in July 2025 as a Certified Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy provider.
What should I expect?
I’ll be with you every step of the way to help prepare you for, guide you through, and process your journey.

With KAP, the “set” (mindset) and setting are a very important part of the process. It is my job to create a safe space for you to have a meaningful experience, in which you feel safe, comforted and supported.
The first phase consists of 1-3 preparation sessions in which we work together to set an intention for your journey. The medicine is a wonderful tool, however, it needs your willingness to explore greater depths of your unconscious. In order to explore greater depths of yourself, you need to feel safe and supported. This is my role, to hold you throughout the entire experience, from integration, during your journey, and through integration.
With your willingness to trust in the process, you can uncover material that may be contributing to your symptoms of distress. In order to heal, we need to go towards your fear, to move through and process the feelings. It is when we avoid or turn away from what is painful or hard, that we can get stuck. It is courageous to go towards what we fear, and when we do, this is where freedom lives.
-
This is the journey phase, which can last between one to three hours. Every journey is different, and whatever emerges is always important. It is critical to trust the medicine and the process, as the medicine will take you where you need to go.
Sometimes journeys can be difficult, and it is always best if you can lean into what emerges, to not fight against it, but to trust in the process. We all have an Inner Healing Intelligence which is our mind’s innate ability to recognize, process and heal emotional and psychological wounds. Given the right support and resources, it can be profoundly restorative and healing. And, I will be with you every step of the way. You are not alone.
-
We meet within 24-48 hours of your journey, while the neural pathways of the brain are still open, to incorporate the new material that emerged during your experience. This is the window of time when the brain is most open and pliable to reorganize and grow new connections. Integrating the new experience is critical.
Engage in deeper self discovery
With a heightened state of consciousness, one may experience ego dissolution, timelessness and a connection to an expanded reality that may lead to deep spiritual insights, profound self-exploration, and even mystical experiences.
