I have been working as a therapist since 1991 and in private practice since 2007. I am excited to have recently relocated my practice to the Newburyport area. I consider the therapeutic relationship very important, as is the fit between counselor and client. I like for our work to be collaborative and interactive, so it is together that we will be navigating your path of awareness and unfolding. I consider myself an eclectic therapist, drawing mainly from Psychodynamic, Relational, and Emotional Focused Therapy models. I enjoy working with both individuals and couples with a focus on marriage and relationships as my specialty.
We all make the best choices we can as children in navigating our youth. These choices are in fact instrumental in learning to cope. However, these same ways of coping as children, often do not serve us well in adulthood. In fact, they can actually be detrimental to us.
Together we will unearth long-standing behavioral patterns and/or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. Exploring your fears within a safe place, and with someone whom you trust, will truly bring you much deeper self contentedness.
